Administrative Judiciary Court adjourns consideration of Mohamed Adel's appeal against decision preventing him from taking exams
News
The 7th circuit of the Administrative Judiciary Court decided on May 4th to adjourn the hearing set to look into Appeal No. 50165 of 79 filed by the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR) on behalf of activist Mohamed Adel. The appeal challenges the negative decision that prevents Adel from taking the public law diploma exams at the Faculty of Law, Mansoura University.
The court adjourned the hearing to 1 June, to deposit the board of commissioners’ report, although Adel's lawyers submitted an official copy of the schedule of the second semester exams, which will begin on 17 May and end on 4 June. This means that Adel will miss the exams, which will result in his failure due to absence. The court’s decision to adjourn the case reflects the absence of the concept of prompt justice.
