During the month of October 2024, Egyptian courts issued death sentences to 7 defendants in 6 cases. Among them, 1 was issued final verdicts that could not be appealed. Additionally, 39 defendants' papers were referred to the Grand Mufti in 26 other cases.

It should be noted that these numbers represent the minimum that researchers were able to determine through families and media reports.
